Laser scaling for generation of megatesla magnetic fields by microtube implosions

چکیده

Microtube implosions are a novel scheme to generate ultrahigh magnetic fields of the megatesla order. These driven by ultraintense and ultrashort laser pulses. Using two- three-dimensional particle simulations where megatesla-order can be achieved, we demonstrate scaling criteria in terms parameters, such as intensity energy, facilitate practical experiments toward realization extreme physical conditions, which have yet realized laboratories. should provide new platform for studies fundamental applied physics relevant fields.
